It might be that the media center library has gone corrupt, I would suggest you rebuild media center library and check whether the issue is resolved.
Follow the steps mentioned below.
Exit any running instance of Windows Media Center.
Delete the mediaCenterDataStore.db file.
By default this file is in the following location:
Click Start button and in the Start Search box type in the following command: %systemdrive%\programdata\microsoft\ehome and press the Enter Key.
Now locate mcepg1-5-0 file,it’s a db or data base file.Right click on it and delete it.
Restart Windows Media Center.
This will now allow you to configure Windows Seven Media Center from the scratch.

- In the Save In list, select the folder where you want to save the Windows Operating System backup key.
- In the File Name box, type a name for your backup file, such as "Windows Operating System Backup".
- In the Export Range box, be sure that "Selected branch" is selected.
- Click Save.
- The file is then saved with a .reg file extension.
- You now have a backup of your MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION-related registry entry.
